1. If I am an immigrant, should I still register with TWA? ANSWER: Whether as a citizen, refuge, legal, or illegal immigrant, you still have certain lawful rights and privileges that should be protected to the best of your ability. TWA may help to provide evidence against violation of your rights independent of your status.
2. Can a family member or friend use my TWA membership? ANSWER: No one other than you can use your TWA membership. Your membership is specialty customized and created for you to provide legal communication between you and LEOs. Anyone other than you who uses your member would be subject to a charge of identity theft and fraud.
3. Can I use my TWA A/V conferencing, v-mail or text to communicate with a family member or friends? ANSWER: No; TWA is not a social media platform, you are only allowed and able to communicate with LEO by invitation and request only.
4. What should I do if I am stopped by a LEO but they are not a member of TWA or do not invite or request a conference, text or email communication? ANSWER: You should always, immediately start your TWA A/V recording when stopped by LEO. You should then wait and follow all LEO’s instructions and be extremely respectful to the LEO’s authority.
5. What should I do if I am stopped and physically approached by a LEO? ANSWER: Same as instruction above in Number 3
6. What should I do if a TWA LEO asks me to show them my documents that are already accessible to them in my TWA profile? ANSWER: Always comply with all LEO requests and provide physical evidence of any and all documents being requested.
7. Since I have submitted all my ID documents in my TWA profile, do I still need to carry them with me? ANSWER: Yes, to use, or not to use TWA is at the discretion of the LEO. You should always have a physical copy of all essential ID documents in your possession at all times. You should also make sure your TWA profile and documents are up to date and match your physical documents reflecting any changes in name, address, phone, license number etc.
8. Do I have to accept a TWA request from a LEO to communicate with them? ANSWER: No, however it is strongly recommended that you comply with all LEO requests. In any event, the contact will be recorded by the TWA LEO.
9. If I cannot respond to a request to communicate by a TWA LEO because my device is defective or I cannot get connectivity or power, what should I do? ANSWER: You should be prepared to have conventional contact with the TWA LEO and respectfully follow all instructions provided by them. 10. How do I guard against my device being unable to function in a TWA communication with a LEO? ANSWER: As a TWA member you should (a) make sure your phone is fully charged; (b) have a car charger; (c) have backup battery chargers and (d) have a portable wireless Internet device as part of your TWA technical accessory support for your TWA.
11. Can TWA be used with any mobile phone and/or device? ANSWER: The TWA is designed to be supported by iPhone, IOS and Android, Smart phones and tablets. The technology is constantly being revised and you should check the TWA list of supported devices for the most recent updates. 12. As a TWA LEO member, can I communicate with other LEOs? ANSWER: Yes, you can A/V and multiple person conference, text and vmail with (a) your supervisor; (b) your partner; and (c) blast alert to other LEOs in an emergency for backup. 13. As a TWA LEO do I have to use the TWA? ANSWER: No, the use of the TWA is an option that is your choice to use in order to minimize the risk of you becoming a victim of, or perpetrating unexpected violence and harm associated with conventional contact with the public. 14. As a LEO, is TWA limited to use for only traffic stops? ANSWER: No, the TWA may be used for communication with anyone in the public registered with TWA. The TWA can be used as a preliminary virtual contact for (a) home interviews; (b) investigations of domestic violence and (c) 911 and/or emergency calls. 15. As a TWA LEO when should I use the TWA ticket and summons form? ANSWER: You should only use TWA ticket and violation form after it has been approved by your supervisor and jurisdiction. 16. How do I retrieve a copy of a TWA A/V recording conference and other TWA communications? ANSWER: All TWA Communications can be retrieved via the event ID number which is associated with all TWA communications submitted or involuntarily disrupted by LEOs or the Public.
