Third Witness News is created to acknowledge and publicize the positive deeds of Police and improve the relationship between Police and the Public. We acknowledge that there are Police who abuse their authority; however, we also believe that most Police do their best to honor their Oath and risk their lives every day to protect the public. Unfortunately, the many positive deeds of the majority of Police are overshadowed by publicity for negative behavior by the minority and politics.
Third Witness believes that collecting and publishing the positive events and exchanges that occur between Police and the Public would contribute to boosting Police morale; it would also neutralize the negative perception of Police held by various segments of the Public.
It is with the recognition and reality that there will always be some Police who abuse their authority that we propose to provide as much positive support and publicity to those who serve with honor and integrity.
It is with the hope that Third Witness will create a foundation to help modify the prevailing negative sentiments between Police and various segments of the Public.
